Dahlia Flower Tuber Care and Grow Tips:
- Plant when ground temperature is at least 60 degrees
- Plant in area that has at least 8 hours of direct sunlight
- Avoid high nitrogen compost (grass clipping)
- Fertilize in late season with a zero nitrogen fertilizer to promote more blooms (0-10-10)
- Staking is recommended for varieties that reach 3' or taller
- Lay tubers horizontally 4-6" deep and 12-14" apart
- Do not water until the sprouts have appeared above ground
